Host A Film Screening: Death by Numbers

Death by Numbers follows Sam Fuentes’ journey of processing trauma and preparing to face her assailant, exploring grief, collective harm, and justice. Organizations and community groups are encouraged to host their own screenings during NCVRW.

A discussion guide, developed in collaboration between the National Organization for Victim Advocacy (NOVA) and Death by Numbers, is available to support thoughtful, trauma-informed conversations.

Host A Film Screening: The Limits of Forgiveness

The Limits of Forgiveness is a feature-length documentary following survivor and activist Marlee Liss, whose groundbreaking case concluded through restorative justice after sexual violence. Blending raw testimony, intimate vérité, and stylized animation, the film highlights the limitations of traditional justice systems while exploring alternative pathways centered on survivor needs.

Grounded in Marlee Liss’s unprecedented legal journey, the documentary brings together expert perspectives, survivor experiences, and the realities of a system where most cases never reach trial. The result is a compelling exploration of accountability, harm, and the reimagining of justice.
